Shri Seronaji is an ancient tirth kshetra which is said to be full of miracles. In ancient times, this place was the centre of Jain culture and art. Shri Devpat Khevpat Panashah, who had built many temples in various parts of the country, had also built several temples here in V.S. 964. Unfortunately, today we find only fragments and broken pieces of the temples here, but the enormity of the fragments show that at one time there were not one but several temples in the area.
This Kshetra is surround by a rampart, first temple in this rampart has so many ancient idols and broken fragments. Second is the main temple with principal deity Bhagwan Shantinath, a standing colossus very attractive & magnificent. We can make out the growth and expandion of Jainism here in around the 10th century and the number of temples and idols installed here that whenever someone does some excavation, some idols of god and goddess are found either in full or fragments. These idols resemble the idols at Deogarh and Khajuraho.
In third & fourth temples also so many ancient idols are installed.
Second temple in the rampart is the main here having Bhagwan Shantinath as principal deity, a 18 feet high standing colossus, very beautiful & miraculous and idols of remaining 23 Teerthankars are also here. On the pylon of entrance gate 12 constellations are carved.
