Shri Firozi Lal Jain

(1906-27-12-1971)

Religious minded late Shri Firozi Lai Jain was born at Gohana (Haryana) in 1906. After doing matriculation from Delhi in 1924 he served with a contractor at Mathura for about 11 years. He settled at Delhi in 1935 and did property and timber business. M/s. Sita Ram Firozi Lai Pvt. Ltd. was established by him in 1952.

Since his death, his son-in-law Shri Gian Chand Jain is managing this big firm which has a name in timber and plywood business. Shri Firozi Lai had adopted Shri Rakesh Chand, eldest son of her daughter Smt. Sushila Devi Jain, as his son on 10th May, 1968. He had keen interest in religious tours and activities.

A great devotee of Shri Varniji, he set up Shri Ganesh Varni Ahimsa Prtisthan in his house at 21, Daryaganj in 1950. The house was donated to this trust which runs Bassi Devi Jain Charitable Dispensary and Bassi Devi Jain Charitable Tailoring School set up in memory of his wife Smt. Bassi Devi. He also set up a female dispensary in Gohana in 1957. It is managed by a trust created by him on 21st March, 1959.
