PT. JAGANMOHAN LAL JAIN

Pt. Jaganmohan Lai Jain born at Shahdole in Madhya Pradesh on 6th August, 1901 passed Nyayasidhanta Shastri examination from Dig. Jain Parikshalaya, Sholapur. He joined service in Shri Shanti Niketan Jain Sanskrit Vidayalaya Katni on 1st July, 1923 and is Principal of this institution since 1927.

He took active interest in national movements during 1925-40. He is President of Shri Kunthalgiri Sidhakshetra and Shri Ramjanki Mandir Trust; General Secretary of Dig. Jain Parwar Sabha and Finance Secretary of Jain Sangh, Mathura. He is also associated with Syadwad Mahavidyalaya Varanasi, Ganesh Varni Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Sagar and Jain Gurukul Jabalpur.

He was editor of ‘Vir Sandesh’ and ‘Parwar Bandhu’ (now closed) and of ‘Jain Sandesh’. His books ‘Padma-Nandi Shravakachar’ and ‘Amrit Kalash’ are yet unpublished. He has been awarded Vir Nirwan Bharati prize of Rs-2500/-in July 1974 for his Sanskrit and Hindi Tika ‘Shravaka Dharma Pradip’.
