Dr. Kasliwal, a well-known Jain scholar, did his M.A. in Sanskrit from Agra University in 1946, Ph. D. from Rajasthan University in 1961 and Jain Darshan Shastri from Government Sanskrit Examination Board, Jaipur.
Settled at Jaipur in 1934 he got the religious education under the guidance of late Pt. Chainsukh Das Jain.
Since 1947 he is Director of Literary Research Deptt. of Shri Mahavir Ji Tirthakshetra Committee situated in Mahavir Bhawan, Sawai Mansingh Highway, Jaipur.
Dr. Kasliwal is associated with many All India and local institutions. He is President of Rajasthan Jain Sahitya Parishad, Jnan Vidyalaya and A.I. Dig. Jain Parishad (Jaipur Branch) ; Convenor of All India Jain Sahitya Sansad Jaipur and has participated in various literary seminars held in the country.
He is editor of Vir Vani fortnightly of Jaipur. More than 100 of his articles have been published in various magazines.

Jain Vidwat Parishad), Maha Kavi Daulat Ram : Vyaktitwa Aur Krititwa (prized by A.I. Digamber Jain Shastri Parishad) and Maha Kavi Bhudhar Das Aur Unka Sahitya.
Dr. Kasliwal has made thorough research in more than 100 Granthagars of Rajasthan and done notable work in bringing to light hundreds of unknown important old scriptures lying in oblivion. He has been honoured with the title of ‘Jain Itihas Ratna’ and awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2500/- by Vir Nirwan Bharati in 1974.
Son of Sh. Gaindi Lai Kasliwal he was born at Sainthal in Distt. Jaipur Rajasthan on 8th August, 1920.
