Maharashtra is a very beautiful state of India, highlighting the truth of the name of the great land. Hundreds of Sufis, mausoleums and cave temples of saints of different religions are located here. Nagpur city, the center point of India and the pride of Maharashtra, has its own charm.
And many highways originate from here like Nagpur to Raipur, Jabalpur, Betul, Nizamabad, Amravati, Akola etc. So let us go to see a very ancient Atishay Kshetra, Shri 1008 Adinath Digamber Jain Atishay Kshetra Bazar village situated on Nagpur Amravati Road which is situated 35 kilometers away from Nagpur.
This is an area where 9 altars are situated among 6 peaks. It is said that this is a 1000 year old Jain temple where many Jain families used to live in the past, once such a terrible disease spread and the Jain brothers left this village and went to some other place.
Today, not a single Jain family lives here, only the manager and priest of the temple working here are taking care of this area along with their families. Whose management is under Shri Digambar Jain Lord Mahavir Itwari. This is a very special area because of the miraculous idol of Lord Shri 108 Suparshvanath.
Despite not having a single Jain family, it is still completely safe even after 1000 years and amidst the settlements of Muslims.
At the time when Panch Kalyanak was held here, two men had brought the idol of Lord Suparshvanath in a bullock cart, but after Panch Kalyanak, when the time came to take the idol to the nearby Ramtek, even ten men could not lift it and the idol fell down. There was not even the slightest movement and the statue was enshrined here, ever since.
After midnight, the idol of this idol is sung along with the temple bells, ghunghars and sounds like Gandharvagana are heard. On the one hand, religious faith is formed by visiting such a beautiful place, while on the other hand, the mind becomes thrilled after seeing the wonderful scenes of nature. You can make your life blessed by having the good fortune of attaining virtue along with the benefits of darshan once in your life.
13 km from here. Far away on the highway is Vyahad village, which is also famous by the name of 14 Mile. Mallinath is a Digambar Jain temple.
One can get benefit by visiting Jain temples of Ramtek, Parshivni, Kamthi, Nagpur.
There is a Dharamshala for stay, and food arrangements are made upon prior notice.
