A Jain temple will be constructed in Chandpur-Jahajpur on the lines of Devgarh, where the idol of Lord Shreyanshnath, which was taken out from the Betwa river six years ago, will be installed. At the same time, about 21 feet high statue of Lord Shantinath will also be installed for the train passengers to see. There will be arrangements for education and health along with Dharamshala, Ashram for the pilgrims.
Hundreds of idols of Jain Gods have been installed in temples in Deogarh. Chandpur Jahazpur also has thousands of huge statues and platforms belonging to Sanatan and Jain religion dating back to seventh to thirteenth century. There is also a temple of Jainism here, where Jain monks stay and do penance and their disciples and people of Jain community come to see Lord Shantinath in the temple. These heritages are preserved under the Archeology Department.
But now a plan has been prepared by the Jain Temple Committee to build a huge Jain temple on the lines of Devgarh nearby. For this, six acres of land has also been purchased by the temple committee at some distance from the railway line near this temple. The temple will be established as per the rules of the Archeology Department.
The idol taken out six years ago is kept in Chandpur.
Acharya Sudarshan Maharaj has performed Chaturmas here and about six years ago he had taken out an idol of Lord Shreyanshnathji from the Betwa river near Sriranchhordham. People believe that Sudarshan Maharaj had a dream that he had to take out the idol of Lord Shreyanshnath from the Betwa river. This statue is still kept in Chandpur and this statue has the symbol of a deer and it is not even broken. This statue will also be installed in the newly built temple.
The new temple will be constructed in such a way, where Dharamshala, shops, Tyagi Ashram, park as well as education and health related centers will also be established for the devotees. Here the temple will be constructed on two acres of land, while other facilities will be provided in the remaining land. At the same time, about 21 feet high statue of Lord Shantinath will also be installed in the middle of the temple complex, so that the Jain devotees coming out by trains, who follow fasts or follow rules, can have darshan of the Lord from the trains itself.
Navneet Jain Chandpur, disciple of Sudarshan Maharaj, told that Maharajji has a resolve that the temple should be developed here on the lines of Devgarh. A plan has been made for this. For this, six acres of land has been purchased by the committee.
Roads should also be accessible
There are two routes before Dhaurra village to go to Chandpur-Jahajpur. The road under the railway bridge has been asphalted by the administration, but the road through Amukheda is still rough. Due to which devotees and tourists find it very difficult to reach here. If this route is built, it will be easier for the devotees to reach Chandpur Jahazpur.
A temple will be constructed in Chandpur-Jahajpur for the purpose of development.
Chandpur-Jahajpur has a storehouse of religious heritage from the seventh century to the thirteenth century. This place was a major center of religious culture of Sanatan Dharma along with Jainism. The witness of which even today are the huge platforms of Sanatan Dharma and the fragmented statues scattered on and around them.
The purpose of constructing a Jain temple here on the lines of Devgarh is being done keeping in mind the development of the area. Keeping in view the facilities for the devotees as well as the development of the area, a health center will also be built here. Besides, development will also be done at the level of education.
