Dr. Gokul Ohaimdra Jain

Dr. Gokul Chandra M.A. (Sanskrit), Ph.D., Sahityacharya, Jain Darshanacharya from Banaras Hindu University; Nyayatirtha and Kavyatirtha from Bengal Sanshrit Association, Calcutta and M.A. (Prakrit and Jainology) from Prakrit Vidyapith, Vaishali, Bihar University, is writer/editor of the following books : Satya Shasan Pariksha (edited), Yashastilak Ka Sanskritik Adhyayan (Research Thesis-Prized by U P. Govt.), Karma Prakriti (edited),Prameya Kanthika (edited), Bhagwan Mahavir, Chaubis Tirthankar. More than 100 of his essays have been published in various magazines and journals.

Having worked as Research Officer in Bharatiya Jnanpith, he is Lecturer in JainPhilosophy in Banaras Hindu University since 1973.

He is founder General Secretary of Jainological Research Society.

Dr. Jain was born at Pidrua in Distt. Sagar (M.P) on November 5, 1934. He is married to Smt. Sunita Jain M. A.
