PT. BABU LAL JAIN JAMADAR

A bold and courageous speaker, Shri Babu Lai Jamadar has been Lecturer in Jain Religion in Digamber Jain College, Baraut since Sept., 1954. He was Born at Lalitpur in U.P. on April 22, 1922. He actively participated in swimming, sports, scouting and elocution contests during his student life.

As an active and reformist worker of Digamber Jain Parishad he cooperated in the movement for ‘Dassa Puja Adhikar’ in 1938 and opposed feasts after death. He was Publicity Secretary of the Parishad and World Jain Mission. He also worked actively for Jain Census in 1971 as one of its Secretaries.

He has been honoured with the titles of ‘Vyakhyan Vachaspati’, ‘Vani Bhushan’ and ‘Vani Ratna’. He is Secretary of A. I. Dig.’ Jain Shastri Parishad and Shri Sharak Jain Samiti. He has written over 20 books and a large number of articles. Residence: Hathikhana, Baraut, Distt. Meerut (U.P.).
