Pt. Chainsukh Das was bom at village Bhadwa in Distt. Jaipur. While only three years old one of his legs was paralysed. He received higher education in Sanskrit and Prakrit at Syadwad Mahavidyalaya, Varanasi and passed Nyayatirtha examination from Bengal Sanskrit Association.
Thereafter he was appointed Head Master of Jain Vidyalaya, Kuchaman. In 1931, he was appointed Principal of Dig. Jain Sanskrit College at Jaipur where during 38 years of service he produced a large number of learned Jain scholars. In 1967, he was honoured by the President for rendering distinguished services in the field of education.
He was a very good journalist and orator. Past editor of ‘Jain Bandhu’ he later edited ‘Vir Vani’ for 20 years. His important literary works are, Jain Darshan Sar, Sodash Karan Bhavna, Arhant Pravachan and Pravachan Prakashan.
