Pt. Vanshidhar nyayalankar

(Around 1890-7-12-1973)

Pt. Vanshidhar was born in village Mehrauni in Jhansi Division. He was extremely intelligent, was educated at Morena as main disciple of Guru Gopal Das Baraiya and was appointed teacher of religion in the same Vidyalaya. Later he was Principal of Dig. Jain Shiksha Mandir, Jabalpur and since 1925 he had become Principal of Sir Seth Hukam Chand Dig. Jain Mahavidyalaya, Indore.

Having heard of his great learning, a large number of students from distant parts of the country received education from him. About 100 reputed Jain scholars such as Pt. Jagan Mohanlal, Pt. Kailash Chandra, Pt. K. Bhujbali, Pt. Sumer Chandra Diwakar, Pt. Nathu Lai, late Dr. Mahendra Kumar, Pt. Parmeshthi Das, Pt. Hira Lai (Biana), Pt. Hira Lai Kaushal (Delhi) have been his students. He also gave religious education to Jain saints. He had been President of A.I. Dig. Jain Vidwat Parishad.
