Shri Adishwar Lal Jain
A prominent businessman in building material trade, soft spoken and cheerful Shri Adishwar Lai Jain was born at Delhi on Nov. 6, 1933. His aged father Shri Deputy Mai Jain, a freedom fighter, is a well known personality in political, business, social and religious circles.
B. Com. (Hons) and M.A. in Economics Shri Adishwar Lai holds a diploma in Economic Administration from Delhi School of Economics. With a sound academic background and business knack Shri Jain has althrough been making steady progress in his flourishing trade. He is Partner in M/s. Delhi Builders Stores, Indian Agencies Corporation and Delhi Cement Stockists Co.
He is Director of Rajasthan Cooperative Industrial Estate Ltd. Shri Jain has made significant contribution in helping the blind and the handicapped by providing financial assistance and arranging their rehabilitation through ‘Training And Rehabilitation Centre For The Blind’ established in Model Town by his efforts. He presented woolen blankets and other gifts to the blind and handicapped through the Prime Minister Smt.
Indira Gandhi at a function organised at the Prime Minister’s House. He takes keen interest In arranging religious and social functions and organising trips to holy and historical places. At a comparatively younger age he is well-up in social, religious and cultural fields and holds important positions in various such bodies.
He is President of Lord Mahavira Charitable Hospital Trust (Regd), Shri Ram Lila Committee Model Town, and Model Town Mittra Mandal and Vice-President of National Blind Relief Trust, Delhi, Building Material Merchants Association, and Lions Club, Model Town Area, Delhi. He has visited Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand, during July 1975.
Married to Smt. Vinod Kumari Jain, a dutyful virtuous housewife, Shri Adishwar Lai has two sons and four daughters. The eldest daughter Deepa Jain has been married to Kulwant Jain son of Shri Paras Dass Jain, an industrialist and estate owner.
