Born at Shahpur in Distt. Muzaffarnagar (U.P.) on 15th Aug. 1927 Shri Anand Prakash Jain is a historical novelist and story writer of repute. He suffered two years rigorous imprisonment for participating in national movement in 1942.
After having worked for 12 years as Editor of monthly ‘Parag’ of Times of India Group at Bombay he has started his own ‘Chander Pocket Books’.
Historical Novels-Tisra Netra, Kathputli Ke Dhage (2 Vol.), Palkon Ki Dhal, Kunal Ki Ankhen, Tambe Ke Paise, Tan Se Lipti Bel (Jain poranic novel).

He has also written or translated more than 150 books including biographies of important persons, detective novels and books of English and French authors. Many of his articles, stories and novels have been published by leading magazines and have also appeared on radio.
