Shri Anant Ram Jain

Shri Anant Ram Jain son of late Shri Banarsi Das Jain is a well known name in the Bidi manufacture trade. He was born at Jullundur (Punjab) on September 16, 1913. He came to Delhi from Jullundur in 1930 and worked up to 1936 as Manager in M/s. Ramji Das Jaini & Co., Sadar Bazar. He started his independent Bidi business in 1936.

The business continued for 1£ years. He was appointed as Manager in M/s. Brijlal Manilal & Co., Lahori Gate in 1938. He is its General Manager sjnce 1944. The vast and extensive Bidi business of this firm, the branches of which are established in almost all important cities of Northern India, is managed by him. He is a senior business executive with considerable experience in the trade.

He travels more than 5000 miles every month in connection with the business. He has visited all places of Jain pilgrimage in India. Even at the age of over 60 years Shri Jain is a regular football player and possesses youth like zeal. He likes to read English novels. He has visited U.S.A. in 1973. Married to Smt. Yashodha Devi in March, 1937 he has two sons and two daughters.
