Shri Basant Kumar Jain

A conscious social worker, writer-poet and journalist Shri Basant Kumar got education upto Intermediate at Jaipur. He got Shastri degree from Jaipur and Mahasabha Examination Board, Indore. He is an Associate (Jain Philosophy) of Dig. Jain Parished Examination Board.

Having run an independent business previously Shri Jain is now in Prem Engineering Works, Meerut looking after the labour aspect there.

Born in a middle class family at Shivar in Distt Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan) on February 21,1935 he had to face hardships of life since the tender age of 10 after the death of his father Shri Kastur Chand Jain. The difficulties, however, did not deter him in his way to progress. He is married, to Smt Vimla Jain.
He has great faith in Jain religion and Jain saints. He has contributed numerous articles to the various magazines. He had the occasion to visit Japan in 1967 where he attended a Buddhist Conference.
Prized by Rajasthan Sahitya Academy, Shri Jain has written several books including Bhagwan Adinath and Bhagwan Shantinath.
