This sacred place Thuvonji came to knowledge during the period of famous shreshthi Shri Padashah. It is said that Shri Padashah was dealing in Metal and when he put his Metal here it get converted in to Silver. There is a little pond known as Padashah Talaiya.
There are 26 beautiful miraculous temples imparting the massage of peace, non-violence & non affectioness to pilgrims. The great idols installed in various temples here are showing the totality of art and magnificence.
Temple No. 15 is the main temple here with the principal deity Bhagwan Adinath (1st Teerthankar), a miraculous standing idol, 28 feet high installed in V.S. 1672. All the parts of the idol are in proportionate according to the principals of sculptural art.
It is said that sound of various musical instruments is heard at night so many times as the gods of heaven come here for prayers & worships.
It is also said that after completion of this high colossus idol, the devotees were unable to install the idol in standing posture at the required place. That night the head of the function saw a dream and in the next morning he performed the prayers according to his dream and and he alone himself placed the high colossus standing at the alter.
There are so many beautiful & vast temples with so many miraculous & attractive idols. Temple No. 15 is the main among them known as big temple here, with 28 feet high miraculous colossus idol of Bhagwan Adinath in standing posture, installed in V.S. 1672.
Temple No. 1, Shri parsvanath Jinalaya (Temple) – There is a magnificent 15 feet high colossus idol of Bhagwan Shri Parsvanath (23rd Teerthankar) installed in V.S. 1864 with a very artistic serpent hood over the head. This hood is made by different serpents in a beautiful manner and may be seen in both the sides of colossus.
There is a museum in 4th Temple, some ancient idols are kept there, in them a standing 12 feet high idol with beautiful nimbus is agreeable.
5th Temple is Shri Shantinath Jinalaya with 18 feet high standing colossus of Bhagwan Shantinath (16th Teerthankar). In the lower part of colossus, very beautiful & artistic idols of goddess Ambika & Padmawati wearing ornaments are carved.
16th Temple is Ajitnath Jinalaya with 16 feet high colossus of Ajitnath (2nd Teerthankar). 15th & 16th Temples were completed simultaneously.
25th Temple is also a magnificent & vast with 16 feet high colossus of Bhagwan Rishabhadeo (Adinath). This was installed by Shri Savasingh of Chanderi in V.S. 1873. He also completed the famous Choubeesee Mandir of Chanderi after 20 years.
24th Temple is new modern temple with principal deity Bhagwan Chandraprabhu (8th Teerthankar), 1.5 feet in height in sitting posture (Padmasana).
There are mainly standing idols in standing posture in remaining temples worth being seen.
