2613th Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanti

Bhagwan Mahaveer, the 24th Teerthankar of Jain Dharma in the present era, is famous in the whole world for his principles of Non-violence, Non-possessiveness and Non-absolutism. These eternal principles of `LIVE & LET LIVE’, `Aparigrah’ & `Syadvad’ can certainly establish peace and harmony in the world.

The propagator of such universal principles was born at Kundalpur (Nalanda) Bihar on Chaitra Shukla Trayodashi 2612 years before. Mahaveer Jayanti is celebrated all over the world on this tithi of Chaitra.

This year Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanti is coming on 13th April. Special programme is being organized at the Birthplace of Bhagwan i.e. Kundalpur (Distt. Nalanda) Bihar, where a grand & marvellous Teerth has been developed named `Nandyavart Mahal’ by the inspiration of supreme Jain Sadhvi Pujya Ganini Pramukh Shri Gyanmati Mataji in only 18 months during 2003-2004.

In fact, Nandyavart Mahal was the palace of King Siddharth & Maharani Trishla, to whom Bhagwan Mahaveer was born.

On 13th April 2014, various programmes have been organized at Nandyavart Mahal Teerth.

Rathyatra, Mahamastakabhishek, Palna, Showering of jewels etc. will be the attractions of the day.

The Governor of Bihar Dr. D.Y.Patil will also participate in the celebration. In the evening, Kundalpur Mahotsav will be organized by Bihar Government. Thousands of people gather every year in `Kundalpur Mahotsav’ to participate & to enjoy the devotional cultural programmes.
