This temple is more than 1000 years old. The Temple has a beautiful idol of Bhagwan Adinath which belongs to ‘Chaturtha Kaal’. On 7th of July 1990, 42 idols which were about 2000 years or more old were unearth from the ground of this temple. All Idols were made of Black Stone.
In the year 1197 the General of Mohammad Gauri, Qutubuddin Aibak came here with a huge force to break and destroy this temple and idol. As he entered the first ground of the temple, dense flock of honey bees attacked fiercely on the invaders.
The invaders had to run away but the bees continued to follow them till they regretted and bow down their heads in front of Lord Adinath’s idol. An idol of Qutubuddin Aibak is carved out in standing posture with folded hands and bowing his head. The Idol is still available in the Temple. The event has been marked in many texts.
