Shri Parshvanath Digambar Jain Atishya Kshetra Sawargaon is situated in the centre of village – Sawargaon, in district Osmanabad. This Kshetra is about 1200 years old. It is said to have been constructed in Hemarpanthi Style. In this Temple principal deity is Bhagwan Parshvanath’s black idol 4 ¼ ft. high in Padmasana posture. This idol is very miraculous and attractive. It is said that this idol was hidden under the ground near the temple. About 200 Yrs ago a Pandit Bapudas saw this idol in his dream. He then dug the land as per the instructions in his dream and recovered this magnificent idol and reverenced the idol in the Temple. There is a Sabha Mandapa also in this Temple and on both sides of Sabha Mandapa ancient and magnificent ManStambha are standing.
A coating was applied on the idol of principal deity in V.S. 1983 in the presence of Acharya Shanti Sagarji.
During five days of Shravan Shukls 1 to 5 harmful poisonous animals like snakes, scorpions and lizard etc live together in the Temple without harming any one. This is the belief that idol of principal deity is miraculous and desire are fulfilled after worship here.
In the magnificent altar of artistic sanctum of this Temple, Principal deity Bhagwan Parshvanath’s miraculous and attractive black idol with a serpent hoods in Padmasana posture 4 ft 3 inch in height is installed. Temple is about 1200 Yrs ancient and has a sky high beautiful spire. In addition to principal deity, idol of Bhagwan Adinath reverenced in V.S 1598 in Padmasana posture, ancient idols of Bhagwan Suparshvanath, Arahnath, Chandraprabhu, Neminath, Parshvanth are also installed here worth being seen.
