अष्ट महाप्रातिहार्य वैभवबिंब। अष्टगुणंगलोलोंदम्।।
सृष्टिगे मंगल पर्याय दिनित्त। अष्टम जिनगेरगुवेनु।।1।।
In the beginning of the composition of this ‘Bhoovalaya’ treatise, Shri Kumudendu jainacharya has precisely, paid obeisance to Tirthankar Shri Chandraprabhu. What kind of Tirthankar Chandraprabhu is ? tells further – ‘Ast mahapratiharya’ – i.e. Eight great auspicious emblems of Lord Tirthankar.
Whatever excellent things are there in the world, i.e. whichever grandeur pleasures are there of the Chakravarti (universal monarch/world conqueror), of Indra, the King of heaven or of human being, even more extreme pious and auspicious pleasures than the aggregate of all those pleasures belong to precisely one, the eighth Tirthankar Chandraprabhu Bhagwan adorned with grandeurs of eight great auspicious emblems and internal and external prosperity and endowed with eight attributes/virtues. Only that Lord is the bestower of auspiciousness upon the living beings of the world. Therefore, we pay our obeisance to the eighth Tirthankara Lord Chandraprabhu with the trio-purity of the mind, speech and body.
Why Shri Kumudendu Acharya paid obeisance to the eighth Tirthankara Chandraprabhu alone ?
Answer to the above doubt/question – The commentator of ‘Jaidhavala’ of Bhagwan Gundhara Acharya i.e. Shri Veersen Acharya, the Guru of Kumudendu Acharya has precisely paid obeisance to Lord Chandraprabhu in the beginning of the commentary on Jaidhaval, such as
जमइ धवलंगते ए णाअरियसयल भुवण भवणगणो।
केवलणाण सरीरो अणंजणो णामओ चंदो।।
Long live Jin Deva Chandraprabhu who pervades the aggregate of all living abodes of all the three worlds through the radiance of his brilliant body, who assumes the body of omniscience and is devoid of all karmas.
The moon pervades some parts of the middle universe through the radiance light of its white body, its body is also earthen and it is with stain. But Lord Chandraprabhu pervades each part of all the three universes with the radiance of his brilliant body of absolute purity. His internal body consists of omniscience, it is not earthen and he is absolutely stainless, such Chandraprabhu Jinendra deva may always live long.
Veersen swami has eulogized Chandraprabhu Jinendra both ways-internally and externally. And Kumudendu Acharya also, first of all, paid his obeisance to him because of being endowed with eight great auspicious emblems and adorned with internal and external prosperity and for showing the pure brightest path of well-being to each and all living beings. Shri Veersen Acharya using the term/verse ‘धवलंगतंएण’ (i.e. white brightened body) has eulogized him externally. His body obtained by virtue of the rise of ‘Audarika nam karma’ (i.e. the physique making karma of gross body) was auspicious and of pure white colour. The radiance of his body was not sluggish like the luster of the moon but was of brightened glow- which used to checkmate the luster of crores of suns i.e. used to despise the suns. By using the term/verse ‘केवलणाणशरीरो’ (i.e. the body consisting of omniscience) internal eulogy has been done of the Lord and with this very intention, Kumudendu Acharya has also eulogized the internal prosperity of the Lord. Each soul is a heap of omniscience, absolute perception etc. infinite attributes. Hence the soul is not any independent entity except the aggregate of these infinite attributes. The eulogy performed of the external body etc. is not the eulogy of the soul but is showing merely the importance of any particular virtuous soul through the eulogy of that body. Here the omniscience is a sub-characteristic which includes/implies the power of absolute perception etc. infinite attributes/qualities of the soul or acquiring the adherent virtues of the soul manifested owing to destruction of four destructive karmas. The adjective ‘अंजणो’ (i.e. the state of stainlessness) has been inserted for showing the state of ‘Arihant’ (i.e. the conqueror of the enemies in the form of four destructive karmas). It is obvious from this that this eulogy has been performed of Lord Chandraprabhu who has obtained the state of ‘Arihant’. By using the term ‘जयइ धवलं’ (i.e. the pure white body) Veersen Acharya has made this commentary well-known by the name of ‘Jai Dhavla’ and has wished for its long living till eternity. Acharya Kumudendu also expects this confidently. Further, Acharya Kumudendu has eulogized Lord Mahaveer by Mahaveer etc.
Meaning- One alphabet ‘OM’ (ऊँ) out of knowledge etc. (i.e. omniscience etc.) eight attributes endowed with Ashok tree etc. eight great emblems, is auspicious for the whole world. i.e. which are eight attributes they all are forms/modes/variations of this “OM”. I pay my obeisance to the eighth Tirthankar Lord Chandraprabhu, who attained such attributes along with their modes/variations.
Kumudendu Acharya has not composed this treatise on the basis of grammer or according to the whole order of the verse-composition etc. which is in vogue now-a-days but which was the non-verbal speech of the Jinendra deva and his revelation in the form of ‘Omkar sound’ (i.e. resonant preaching of Lord Jinendra) revealed from all organs of his body, in that very speech he composed the Bhoovalaya treatise.
Thus the composition of which treatise Kumudendu Acharya has done, can only be composed through arithmetic, not through any other means. Kumudendu Acharya has also composed this Bhoovalaya verse through arithmetic.
Hence, for writing 718 languages, 363 religions and 64 arts etc. i.e. from the atom particle of all the three times and of all the three universes upto huge mountain and all passions (i.e. Kasayen) emerging in the living beings ab-aeterno upto ad-infinitum or for writing history, first number 9 (digit) has been taken. Which is number 1 that number does not come in any calculation. Hence, Jainacharya have regarded number 2 as the lowest of all numbers according to Jaina tradition, today Acharya Kumudendu according to that very method has regarded the 9th number as number eighth in serial order regarding the number 2 as the lowest one. There is no figure/number beyond 9, then there arises one doubt that 1 plus 1 becomes 2, then where from this number 1 came ? When leaving 2 we take one (1) then eliminating 2 it remains only one-one. What is this one ? It is in vogue in the world that when something is placed on the hand of each person then it is counted turn by turn by 1, 2, 3 etc. The number which is counted 10-12-15-20 etc. has been obtained from number 1 to 12 or 13 or 20 or 30. If from them the numbers are taken out in the sequence one by one then only 1 remains in the end.
The answer- The one is not worthy to be called as number. If one is broken then it becomes in two pieces and if broken twice then they become four. If it goes on breaking in this very order/sequence then with regard to time it will precisely go on ab-aeterno to still ab-aeterno and with regard to the region it will go upto pure atom accessible in the knowledge of the omniscient Lord. With regard to living being it will go upto the organism/creature of the lowest world (body-form) who occupies the lowest area of all. With regard to volition it will go upto subtlest of subtlest volition accessible in the knowledge of the Omniscient Lord. You people always see- there is one rupee or one house or any other thing, thus you go on counting, then precisely from your own point of view you will regard that one individually separate. How all things could be one i.e. never.
Even being all powerful like the great meditator (yogi) engrossed in supreme self or that one portion of the salvated soul (Siddha Bhagwan) which is precisely located in your ownself, by multiplying such one by one remains only one. This only is its unimaginable great grandeur. In the composition of artistic skill of Bhoovalaya, Kumudendu Acharya has considered “OM” i.e. only one attribute, the knowledge (omniscience) out of knowledge etc. eight virtues/attributes (of the salvated soul i.e. Siddha Bhagwan) as auspicious and honourable.
This Bhoovalaya has been written on the basis of Arithmatic. Science of numeral and arithmatic are great learning and both of them contain different subject. The subject of the numeral science is that which first of all Lord Rishabhdeva had written upto digit 9 on the palm of Sundaridevi by intersecting zero and by forming one and two each together. The scriptures which expound this subject are precisely named as science of numeral. The arithmetic came into being on the basis of the science of numeral i.e. Lord Bhootvali Acharya composed the work “Dravya Pramanugam” (i.e. the knowledge of measuring the substance). On the basis of this very ‘Dravya Pramanugam’ the fundamental root of this ‘Bhoovalaya treatise has been made strong. Hence 2 has been considered as the lowest number of all and on counting from 2 the figure 9 will become eighth. Therefore, in the sequence of regular order, the ninth Chandraprabhu Lord became eighth Tirthankara. Hence Kumudendu Acharya has paid his obeisance to the ninth Lord Chandraprabhu because this thing is also correct that of the whole Bhoovalaya has been composed, precisely in 64 alphabets and by multiplying 8 by 8 comes to 64.।।1।।
(1)‘Tavneyakolu’ i.e. pulpit for keeping book (a podium for keeping religious scriptures)
(2) the book (scripture)
(3) pichhi (a broom made of peacock feathers used by jain ascetics)
(4) ‘kamandalu’ (special water container with nozzle used by Jain ascetics) all these four are very instrumental in the accomplishment of nine special attainments (charity, gain, enjoyment, re-enjoyment, vitality, right faith-perception, knowledge and conduct) (Nav pad siddhi). Thus in the beginning of the composition of Bhoovalaya, the great dignified Lord Chandraprabhu has said ।।2।।
In this very pulpit in which 64 alphabets have been installed on one side and the nine digits/figures on the other that very has been regarded as nine attainments by possessors of major vows (Digambar ascetics) considering it attainable according to the capacity of ‘Bhavya jeeva’ (who have the capacity of attaining salvation) in the form of nine auspiciouses that is precisely the ‘Bhoovalaya’।।3।।
This speech (voice) of nine is excellence (miracle) of the word ‘Omkar’ (a sacred & mystic syllable) . In the present time such voice is called the voice of Mahaveer and it is also called as the great dignified scriptural knowledge as established by Tirthankara and it is also called as great accomplished verse/poetry and it is also called as the doctrine of Bhoovalaya. ।।4।।
According to the method of Bhoovalaya, the combination of ‘ह’ (ha) and ‘क’ (ka) is called joining of two equals (Dvisamyoga). The ‘ka’ (क) 28 and ha (ह) 60. The total of these two digits comes to 88. Precisely, that zero/dot became 88. By adding 8+8 becomes 16 and by adding 1 and 6 became 7. Precisely in the form of 7, Lord Mahaveer named it as ‘Saptabhangi’ (i.e. the theory of seven-fold predications consisting in various way of affirmation and negation regarding any substance). ।।5।।
When Lord Mahavira was standing in the posture of ‘kayotsarga’ (i.e. meditative relaxation) on the thousand petaled lotus, that time Lord Indra requested that the plants in the form of ‘Bhavya jeeva’ are scorching, charring in the intense heat of wrong path. For it the nectar rain of religion is needed hence your Samavsaran (religious assembly of Lord Mahavira) may kindly be moved towards Akhil, Kashmir, Andhra, Karnataka, Gour, Vahlika, Gurjar etc. 56 states for raining the nectar of religion. In this way he humbly requested the Lord. Although the Samavsaran of the Lord was to move on its own without any request but the request of the Lord Indra was a kind of motive. When the Lord Indra apprehended that the Lord Mahavir was about to move, he installed the creation of circular-shaped lotuses. How he installed is described further.
Seven in front side seven in back, thus 32 lotuses were created around each side i.e. installed in the form of wheel. Now we should understand thus that one lotus contain 1008 petals. 32 multiplied by 7 becomes 224 and one that lotus which remains beneath the foot of the Lord, adding it becomes 225 and by adding all the three digits of 225= i.e. 2+2+5 becomes 9 and in the Kannad (Kanahri) language it means ‘Airdrakalnoor’ (ऐरड्रकालनूर) it also means the foot of the Lord. It also means standing in the ‘Kayotsarga’ posture and when the Lord puts his step on the next place then the deities out of devotion, turn that lotus. Then that very lotus after being turned comes beneath the next step of the Lord. Now multiplying those earlier 225 lotuses again by 225 becomes 50625 (5+0+6+2+5=18=8+1=9). The Total of these also becomes 9.
The celestial and female celestial beings were standing in the Samavsaran of the Lord Tirthankara holding eight auspicious substances according to the above number. When the Lord lifting his feet stood on another foot, at that very time celestial beings adored (worshipped) him with the same number of auspicious substances and in this way went on worshipping when he, lifting his foot, put the third step according to the arithmetic of this very number. That is there are the same number of male & females celestial being as the number of steps he put in the Bharat knanda (56 states/countries) ।।6।।
At the time when the Lord used to move that time the fragrance of the lotus under the Lord’s foot coming out from that very land (where the foot of the Lord used to be put) used to reach through the nose of Bhavya jeeva then atom particles of virtue in abundance were bonded in their heart. Well, now at present neither the presence of the Lord is there nor also the lotus under his foot then how that fragrance would come ? Because, precisely the fragrance of the lotus is not there at present then why should we engage ourselves in his devotion ?
Often such types of questions arise, the solution of which we will present in the tenth couplet.
The Lord used to walk like the strolling-bird on the earth but the movement of the last Tirthankara Mahaveer was oblique like the wheel i.e. like the today’s aeroplanes. Presently, those very lotus-feet of the Lord make us equipoise in abundance by moving round in our lotus heart like the wheel, generating devotion in all the limbs of the body. Because of moving in this way the eighth digit is obtained (9) and by that digit and by virtue of its effectiveness the 9 named digit becomes zero being divided by two i.e. being divided by odd number. This process of the arithmatic was unknown to everyone. Acharya Veersen himself was not familiar with the process of this digit 9. Kumudendu Acharya having known it by his destructive-cum subsidential knowledge requested his Guru. Then Veersen Acharya being pleased said, “you are not my disciple but, precisely I am your disciple” what he revealed from his own mouth, has been clarified in the pages to come.
This method is very important for the arithmaticians. An aeroplane (Radar on bombard mission) comes India from very remote western country (German etc.) for destroying one of its larger parts, then immediately the Indians, (officers) come to know through their scientific equipments/machines (Radar) that a huge plane is coming here to destroy one of its large parts. Then informing and alerting several places order to shoot that out. If the bullet succeeds the plane is destroyed otherwise the aeroplane completes its plan. What is its reason ? Its answer is precisely the imperfect knowledge of arithmetic. If the science of arithmetic of ‘Bhoovalaya’ becomes in vogue in the world and the even digits may be divided by odd numbers then all the questions are solved. And violence of killing one another comes to an end. It is said one king possesses weapon of killing and the other possesses the weapon of defence then what is the advantage of that weapon of killing ? i.e. nothing at all. This very important weapon of non-violence is a great contribution of Jainism to the world. The knowledge of Lord Mahavir is said to be Omniscience because there was nothing more left to be known by him. Had some thing remained to be known by the Lord then he would have not been called the Omniscient.
Hence, his voice being authentic, nobody could doubt taking that as unauthentic. This very is the importance of the knowledge of the Lord. Hence relishing the fragrance of the lotus feet of Lord Mahavira, even today, the particularity of the thing could be known by eulogizing the lotus feet of the Lord with the effectiveness as described above. This very is our purpose to say ।।7।।
The great jain texts dealing with the fundamentals of Jain philosophy devoid of the fault of mutual contradiction are for the followers of major vows (Mahavrati i.e. Muni) and the devotion of Arihant Siddhacharya etc. nine positions is for the followers of minor vows (Anuvrati). According to this method the ‘Bhoovalaya’ treatise (scripture) is meant for both which shows the similarity of both the major and minor vows and imparts similar teaching (spiritual instructions) to both, the stupid and erudite. Just as even the stupid understands the meaning by reading couplets in Kannadi language and the learneds as well find out their different language and subject according to their different points of views even in this Kannadi language. ।।8।।
The thing which has already been proved by observers of major vows who have driven off the basic eight defects of right belief and have abandoned the follies of believing false deities, believing hypocrisy, believing false Guru and have destroyed the perception obscuring karma and have conquered the hunger-thirst etc. afflictions, that thing need not to be proved again. If even anyone tries to prove then that is unthinkable rejoice i.e. it is fruitless. This ‘Bhoovalaya’ verse has also been composed by the paragon of Mahavratis Acharya, hence it is self-authenticated. ।।9।।
It has been shown in this ‘Bhoovalaya’ poetry that how jain ascetics have become Digambar (nude) even being clad with the clothes of all the ten directions on their body ? Just as the sun is called by many names in Hindi as ‘Dinkar’, ‘Bhaskar’, ‘Prabhakar’ etc. Similarly poets also call it a thief because it is a thief who steals the darkness of the night, Similarly Digambar jain Muni are like unveiled sky being bereft of all clothes etc. belongings. Only mere body is their belonging. Remaining in such appearance they have been clothed with all the ten directions. This word is in the form of simile.
Thus this Bhoovalaya named poetry exists composed by ascetics ab-aeterno. ।।11।।
These ascetics (Muni) are called all powerful because being strong enough by the strength of the soul. ।।12।।
Because of being told by such Digambar saints, the virtue (merit) bonded by hearing-reflecting etc. this poetry that virtue remains intact with him upto the last moment i.e. up to attaining salvation i.e. it does not destroy. ।।13।।
Several divinely-caused miracles of arts and language etc. are found to be seen merely hearing this Bhoovalaya, similarly this poetry increases enthusiasm successively merely hearing and reading it. ।।14।।
Thus merely hearing this sacred Bhoovalaya scripture all sins get destroyed. ।।15।।
The knowledge which was acquired by Digambar jain saints seeing the dazzling white point in their lotus heart petal by engaging in meditation, this Bhoovalaya shows the miracle of that knowledge by making it crystal clear or this Bhoovalaya is that which assumes the miracle of all the five Dhavalas viz. Dhaval, Jai Dhaval, Maha Daval, Vijay Dhaval and Atisaya Dhaval. Just as Digambar Muniraj perceive above five points together in the dazzling white form above the lotus petal in their meditation, similarly these five great jain texts dealing with fundamentals of jain philosophy could be seen and could be read together on each page and on each line of this Bhoovalaya treatise. ।।16।।
Because proved and is made authentic by 64 alphabetical arithmetic, this Bhoovalaya is the utmost authentic poetry. ।।17।।
By photographing the digits of such Bhoovalaya, all its alphabetical digits not remaining black have become white similarly the word emanates from the soul substance. Similarly this digit (alphabetical number) has been proved. This is Bhoovalaya treatise.
When at the time of conquering his elder brother Bharat Chakravarti in all the three wars, Gommatdeva Bahubali, the possessor of extremely beautiful body and first cupid returned the whole Bharat khanda conquered by him due to arising of the spirit of renunciation (asceticism) then all powerful Bharat Chakravarti being regretfully dejected addressed Bahubali, “I wielded ‘Sudarsan wheel’ on your body made of ‘Bajra Vrashabh Narach Sanhanam’ (an adamantive osseous structure of bone joints) out of greed of kingdom thinking that this ‘Sudarsan chakra’ which is unconquerable by all other ‘Chakras’ may also hurt/destroy your body. This all is due to rise of greed passion.
I, even being so powerful, am standing near you becoming lustreless (pallid) because of my inability to destroy the wheel of your body which is full of knowledge while I am created with matter-substance (with the property of touch, taste, smell & colours etc.) I am returning this lusterless wheel, I don’t need it. When our father, Rishabhadeva Tirthankara was to go to the forest of penance then he told us all the four, viz., myself, you, Brahmi and Sundari, the method of making the wheel of knowledge binding 64 alphabets in the wheel of Bhoovalaya consisting of 9 digits. That time I did not hear it well that is why I am caught with greed. The fruit of that greed made me lusterless i.e. defeated me. Now return me that Bhoovalaya Chakra which is undefeatable, unsubmissible to anyone. I do not need this wheel which causes transmigration in the world like the wheel of the potmaker”. Then Bahubali said, “What you told, that is not possible, you should rule & foster this ‘Bharat khand’ I can not do it because I have already renounced this earth completely hence kindly permit me to attain the kingdom of religion through wheel of knowledge.” Then Bharat Chakravarti had to accede even against his wish. Hence Emperor Bharat said, “I do not care if this Sudarsan Chakra leaves me but I can never leave this knowledge wheel of Bhoovalaya, therefore give me both the worldly Chakra and the transcendental Bhoovalaya Chakra in the form of wheel of knowledge.” Hearing this Bahubali binding the whole Jinvani (12 parts of scriptural knowledge) in 27×27=729 cells in 64 alphabets and again binding these alphabets in the digit 9 gave it to him, hence this Bhoovalaya is a world level poetry. ।।19।।
Bahubali had manifested which forbearance etc. ten types of right virtues regarding them as religion of his own soul on Vindhyagiri mountain for devotees through seven-fold predications in the form of his personal seven elements, that ‘Vijaya Dhaval’ (dazzling victory) is, precisely, Bhoovalaya. ।।20।।
The experience gained within ownself observing those ten types of right virtues without three stings, those great souls who give donation to those right worthy donees in the form of ‘Bhavya jeeva’ (worthy of attaining salvation) who are capable of grasping that experience, can never sink in the ocean of the world. Which shows such things, the auspicious ‘Karmataka’ i.e. which gets victory over 63 karmic natures/configuration and which shows the way & means of attaining omniscience, is this ‘Bhoovalaya’.
All Gandharas Parmesthi (chief disciple of Tirthankaras) from Gandhara Vrasabhsenacharya of the first Tirthankara i.e. Vrasabhdeva upto Gautam Gandhara were from Karnataka state. And all Tirthankaras stated their preachings (resonant preachings consisting of all languages) to Bhavya jeevas precisely in the Karnataka language. How was that ‘Karmataka’ ? Just as keeping 700 radio in our house and switching on each of them on different relying stations for hearing the songs then the listners of far off places hear the sound like that of ‘Veena’ (a kind of Indian musical instrument) i.e. like sweet sound from the throat of the cuckoo. The Karnataka language is like this. Understanding the meaning of the resonant preaching through this language all Gandhar Parmesthi plaiting it in Dwadasang i.e. twelve parts of scriptural knowledge, used to give spiritual instructions through these twelve parts of ‘Jinwani’ to ‘Bhavya jeeva’ according to their ability in their own languages. That is why Digamber Acharya Kumudendu Muni has described Karnataka language as ‘Karmataka’ i.e. which shows the play of 63 Karmas or ‘Karmataka’ i.e. which tells the tale of eight karmas and the power of holding the resonant preaching exists only in this ‘Karnataka’ language, not in any other languages. Such has been pointed out by Kumudendu Acharya. This very is named as Bhoovalaya treatise. ।।21।।
This ‘Karma’ is divided into four parts- 1 ‘Stithi’ i.e. binding period of Karmas with the soul. 2 ‘Anubhag’ i.e. Intensity of karmic fruition. 3 ‘Pradesh Bandha’ i.e. the number of karmic molecules which attach to the soul. 4 ‘Prakriti Bandha’ i.e. regular binding of different types of karmic nature. All of these four bonds have become attached to the soul in the form of eight Karmas each giving different fruits. These eight Karmas cause the soul to transmigrate in the ocean of world covering it in the form of group. By converting the coming and going of all these Karmas, into the treasure of right faith up to second etc. 14th Gunasthan (stage of spiritual development) and making it stable with the soul, causes to place it in the salvation, is this ‘Karmataka’ named language. ।।22।।
Regarding 63 karmic natures as destructive Karma and remaining 85 karmic natures as one non-destructive Karma and adding that one in 63, thus regarding them 64, Lord Rishabha deva, touching the palm of the right hand of the daughter of Yashasvati devi, Brahmi sequentially composed this Bhoovalaya named treatise in the form of 64 resonant sounds in the script which is now-a-days in vogue in Karnataka state. ।।23।।
By amalgamating these 64 alphabets together the “OM” ‘ऊँ’ is made i.e. 6 and 4 become ten. By appending one more zero/dot in 10 the “OM” is made from “O” (ओ). In karnataka language one is called ‘Ondu’ (ओंदु). ‘du’ is suffix. If ‘du’ is removed then there remains only “OM” and the meaning of ‘du’ becomes ‘का’ (ka). The meaning of ‘ka’ is used in the 6th inflexion. To say in short the whole ‘Bhoovalaya’ is incorporated in the “OM” (ऊँ).
Now beginning from 1st verse to 27 alphabets and upto 23rd verse, the ‘Okaram’ compounded with a dot becomes “Omkaram bindu samyukam nityam” i.e. “OM” is meditated daily by saints. This very form has been narrated by Lord Neminath to Krishna in ‘Bhagvad Geeta’. This ‘Geeta’ begins, precisely from the first chapter of this Bhoovalaya. It will be elucidated further. ।।24।।
In India the Karnataka is in the south. This is also the reason of writing by Brahmi devi by her right hand because the Karnataka state was in the south. This Bhoovalaya has been composed on the Nandi mountain situated in that very south state. Presently one village named “Yalav” still exists near Nandi named mountain at a distance of five miles. If prefix “Bhoo” is appended in that “Yalav” then it becomes ‘Bhoovalaya’. ।।25।।
There are three lines on the palm of Brahmi devi. If the dot of the top is cut then one of the top, one of the middle and one of the low, thus joining together they become three. The marks of right faith, right knowledge and right conduct are precisely these three ‘Rekhagamas’ (i.e. common lines). In the Bhoovalaya the subject of ‘Rekhagama’ is wonderful. The whole subject and the whole time can be known precisely by this ‘Rekhagama’. In the arithmatic of scriptural text dealing with fundamentals of jain philosophy this line is called ‘Ardhacched shalaka’ or ‘shalaka ardhaccheda’ i.e. logarithm (means remainder should be 1 (one) when a number is continuously divided by 2 (two)) ।।26।।
Digamber jain Muni have known their ‘Rekhagam’ through miraculous power. It is easily obtainable. Suppose adding two and two becomes four, adding four & four becomes eight, adding eight and eight becomes 16, adding sixteen & sixteen becomes thirty two and adding thirty two & thirty two becomes sixty four (64). This way it becomes 64. It is done by multiplication then 64 comes by multiplying 2 five times (4, 8, 16, 32, 64). Now digit sixty four be supposed as one line by this Rekhagam. In the first half-division (Prathamaccheda) it remained thirty two, in the second half-division it remained sixteen, in the third it remained eight, in the fourth it remained four and in the fifth half-division (Panchardhaccheda) it remained two. This very Bhoovalaya is the basic root of the Rekhagam.
Regarding these sixty four alphabets as 10 (6+4) and in the end regarding it one (1) is a specific art. If it is not done in this way then the “Rekhangkagam” is not created, therefore Acharya Kundkund had to take it from ‘Dwadasanga’ (Twelve parts of jain scriptures).
All the beings of this transmigatory world have only one aim i.e. to attain salvation. Only one non-soul substance mercury is excellent among all non-soul substances. Just as the soul (jeeva) is sullied ab-aeterno by knowledge obscuring etc. eight Karmas. Similarly the mercury is also embroiled with blackness slime, lead etc. defects. When this soul becomes free from knowledge obscuring etc. eight Karmas then it becomes salvated soul, Similarly when the mercury also gets devoid of blackness etc. defects, it becomes jewel of savours (which is capable of making gold). Both these have been described further in detail. ।।29।।
Arihant deva has told ‘karmataka’ language. “आदिसकार प्रयोगः सुखदः” (Adisakar Prayoga Sukhda) i.e. which ‘Sakar’ (सकार अर्थात् स) is used in the beginning, all that is a bestower of the pleasure. That is why ‘Sakar’ (सकार) has been placed in the beginning of spiritual texts dealing with fundamentals of Jainism. The word ‘Siri’ is equally seen in both the languages Prakrit & ‘kanarhi’. Thus it is an ancient language. When this ancient language was turned into Sanskrit since then it became Shri in vogue. The meaning of this Shri (श्री) is prosperity both internal and external. Internal prosperity is to have compassion for all living beings but before feeling/showing compassion it should be known first that what kind of living beings should be considered for showing compassion and by what method. When knowledge-obscuring etc. Karmas are destroyed then infinite knowledge is manifested. This knowledge is called Omniscience. The Lord had known the real state of affairs of all living beings through this Omniscience. Well, the salvated souls are already placed in eternal bliss ab-aeterno within themselves, hence there is no necessity to show compassion towards salvated soul but the worldly beings need compassion to be bestowed upon them. That is why the Lord attained infinite knowledge. Acharya Kumudendu called this very as internal ‘Laxmi’ (treasure). The amelioration and reformation could not be done without preaching. There is no sufficient time to give preaching to each and everyone separately. Hence it becomes imperative to exhort all living beings sitting in one place at one and the same time and in all languages unifying all subjects due to shortage of time. Hearing preaching together by all beings suitable to them in one place, is named as “Samavsaran” i.e. Assembly of Lord Jinendra. This ‘Samavsaran’ is external Laxmi or prosperity/grandeur. Which shows both these wealth & grandeur is the ‘karmataka’ language. Drawing out these languages from “OM” and dividing 64 alphabets in compassion, religion etc. forms the preaching has been exhorted. This very is the empire of all living beings. Which tells this thing is Bhoovalaya treatise. ।।30।।
If seen from the point of view of stand-point (Naya) then there are 64 alphabets and if seen from the valid knowledge (Praman) point of view there is only one that is named as ‘OM’. ‘ओमित्येकाक्षरब्रह्म’ i.e. only one alphabet is precisely ‘Brahma’ i.e. the supreme soul, the all pervading spirit of the universe, Thus has been described in ‘Bhagvad Geeta’. That ‘Bhagvad Geeta’ is a miraculous art of Jains. If these 64 alphabets may be equally divided in fractions then the whole Bhoovalaya becomes self proved on its own. ।।31।।
The knowledge generated by these fractions that knowledge knowing the caste, oldage and death all these three each separately by multiplication form and by dividing each of them separately then the nature of the virtue is known. Hence this is Bhoovalaya in the form of virtue (merit). ।।32।।
The digital alphabets in white form occurring within the lotus petals which remain under the feet of the Lord are all scientific i.e. they are digits which remain in the space points of the sky. Those digits have been taken through multiplying by multiplication table i.e. digital alphabets are in the form of complete clairvoyance (Sarvavadhi) reflecting in the vibration in the soul points (caused by mind, speech & body) of ascetics immersed in meditation, this Bhoovalaya has been composed from these very digits. ।।33।।
As many as there are sum total 9 digits in the world made of digits signifying nine positions of Arihanta, Siddha etc. Parmeshthi, multiplying all those by nine attainments/positions i.e. one by two and two by three, three by four, four by five and five by 6 becomes 720. That is thus 1x2x3x4x5x6=720. This sequence is also called as fraction in natural order. On doing this painstakingly by sixty four times then the number in 92 digit comes into being. If by this method it is done in reverse order i.e. 64x63x62x61…… then by go on multiplying successively upto one that very number of 92 digits would come. The ‘Bhoovalaya’ has been composed by this very method of arithmetic. If anyone could know such a huge heap of digits then only the possessor of supreme clairvoyance, learned could know it like Veersenacharya. But it can also be known by the possessors of sensory and cognitive knowledge like us according to our own respective power. Now there is one unprecendented thing in this Bhoovalaya that the digit 9 is divided completely by two, four, five etc. every digit i.e. the digit being divided by these numbers the remainder comes zero five..
ट (t) 38, क (k) 28, total is 66. The (digit) first and last both are tautologous. On removing these tautologouses the digit 64 is made i.e. 66-2=64. 6+4=10. The zero which is in the digit 10, is placed above all, hence it is named ‘Saklank’ Chakreshwara (i.e. consisting of all digits) and is ‘Aklanka’ i.e. in the state of unveiled; when the digit is made then the alphabet is also made through that. This very is one very much importance of ‘Bhoovalaya’. ।।35।।
Mahaveer swami manifested this ‘Taka’ fraction within ‘Antarmuhurta’ in his resonant preaching (Omkar sound), says thus Kumudendu Acharya. There is doubt regarding this that:-
Lord Mahaveer has been shown to have said in the above mentioned fifth verse that the ‘Saptabhanga vani’ (seven-fold predications consisting of various ways of affirmation and negation regarding any substance) emerges from the ‘Hakbhanga’ and ‘Dwadasang’ (i.e. twelve parts of scriptural knowledge) emerges from ‘Takabhanga’ and if 1-2 are added then comes 3, why this contrast giving solution to this, Kumudendu Acharya says that:-
It is an inviolable fact that all Tirthankaras preached ‘Dwadasangvani’ (12 parts of scriptural knowledge) through ‘Hakbhanga’ but the 24th Tirthankaras Lord Mahavira had accepted ‘Takbhanga’ for explaining it (Dwadasang) to his first disciple Gautam Gandhara. Gautam Gandhara grasped twelve parts of the scripture through ‘Takabhanga’ and explained that to all Bhavya Jeeva (having capability to attain salvation) by plaiting it. ।।36।।
Thus studying twelve parts of scripture the ‘Sarvarthasiddhi’ (one of the five Anuttar viman i.e. space craft-dwelling place of Indras) is obtained. The meaning (Artha) means sixty four alphabets and by making fractions of these alphabets the digit 92 comes and then substracting them successively that very digit 64 comes and the digit 10 (i.e. 6+4=10) is also obtained. ।।37।।
Using this quintessence of ten, the knowledge of entire principles of the ‘Jinvani’ is attained which spreads the fragrance of the lotus feet of Lord Jinendra, as has been said earlier. ।।38।।
Dividing digit 10 by two the digit 5 comes (i.e. half division of 10) which signifies five supreme divinities (Panch Parmesthi). The islands, oceans etc. of the middle universe are counted by this very digit and calculation of the world of serpents, heaven the human and hellish world and even the place of salvation can be counted by this digit. By making cubic Raju (a measurement unit of area) of these three universes in the form of a lump that very digit ten (10) comes i.e. by adding 343 (The measurement of the entire universe is 343 cubic Raju) in sequence the digit ten (3+4+3=10) is made. Which shows this power (Ghat), is this Bhoovalaya of digit. ।।39।।
This digit one (1) is a great sum. That sum cannot be counted with any other number hence it is called as an infinite digit sum because any digit number may be taken out of it one by one even then it does not come to an end, it remains as it was. Also doing so counting the lotus feet of Lord Jinendra 1, 2, 3, 4…. thus upto 9 is named as numerable and also innumerable. The numerable digit amount is accessible to human being, the innumerable amount to saints endowed with miraculous power and the infinite digit amount to the Lord Omniscient. Thus low numerable is two, excellent numerable is nine and one is also infinite also innumerable and also numerable. ।।40।।
Counting infinite digit sum came from all these three directions from numerable digit sum then only infinite comes out in each digit sum. Those seven lotus as told above at the time of movement of Lord’s ‘Samavsaran’ supposing them as water-lotus, the supernatural miraculous savour (Ras siddhi) or attainment of supernatural magic savour from the mercury is made. Kumudendu Acharya has told this accomplished savour as the Divine savour accomplishment. ।।41।।
The ‘Hakbhanga’, appearing in the fifth verse, contains the digit 88. Which is hidden secretly in the place of eighty eight square is named as “Shri padama”. The sixteen dreams seen by Jinendra mother before auspicious event of birth at the time of conception at that time which lotus would emerge is named as “Sthala Padam” (i.e. lotus in ground). If mercury is rubbed with that lotus then the great medicine is made. ।।42।।
Again adding that 88 emerges the narration of 7. Which lotus joins coming out from within that narration, is called “Pahari Padam” (i.e. hilly lotus) thus ‘Jalpadam’ (water lotus), ‘Sthala padam’ and ‘Pahari Padam’ (i.e. hilly lotus) such three lotuses are mingled in this account (counting). Kumudendu Acharya has also described these three lotuses as ‘Atitkamal’ i.e. Past lotus, ‘Anagat kamal’ (i.e. future lotus) and ‘Vartman kamal’ (Present lotus) in the ‘Pranavaya Purva’ named division i.e. (the section of ‘Pranavaya Purva’) of this very ‘Bhoovalaya’. It means that the name counted by the symbol marks of past twenty four Tirthankaras is Anagat kamal. Similarly which has been counted by the arithmatic of symbol marks of present twenty four Tirthankaras, is Atitkamal. Counted by the symbol marks of future Tirthankaras, is the name of ‘Vartaman kamal’.
‘कुंभानागत सद्गुरु कमलजा’ ‘kumbhana sadguru kamalja’ i.e. by saying future virtuous/true guru means future twenty four Tirthankara. The ‘kumbha’ i.e. ‘kalash’ (pinnacle) is the symbol mark of 19th Tirthankara. Precisely the meaning of this scripture filled with substantial elemental words (i.e. concerning with reality) and full of arithmetical subject can be understood only by great erudite who are expert at Jain doctrines that too by their hard labour, not otherwise. ।।43।।
Now Kumudendu Acharya gives special description of both the fires. Dhyanagni (fire of meditation) and Putagni (i.e. dash fire) together.
Above mentioned ‘Atit’, ‘Anagat’ and ‘Vartman’ lotuses (i.e. past, future and present lotus) or should say by grinding the mercury of fickle mind mixing the right faith the right knowledge and the right conduct with them in equal proportion, the mind’s volatility inconsistency is destroyed and it becomes stable. ।।44।।
Then that pure mercury should be baked by dash-cooking method (Put-pak-vidhi) in the fire of meditation then it becomes ‘Rasamani’ ‘savour-jewel’ of true gems trio (true Ratnatraya- right faith, knowledge and conduct) by becoming truly accomplished (processed) alchemy (Siddha Rasayan- a medicine which prevents old age and prolongs life). Afterwards that very ‘Rasamani’ (savour-jewel) may be capable to give pleasure to worldly beings. Thus this Bhoovalaya treatise is the provider of means for attaining both the human effort for sexual vigour and the effort for salvation. ।।45।।
In the beginning of the digit nine there is Arihant deva, the Omniscient who is absolutely faultless. Not the least fault is there in Him. When that Lord Arihant lifting his foot keeps it (on the ground) at the time of his movement then the lotus which is made under His foot, is called ‘Mahapadmank’ i.e. digit of great lotus.
Two hundred twenty five lotuses are created under the foot of the Lord at the time of his movement. Out of those lotuses which lotus remains at the first step of the Lord that lotus being changed and taking turn comes at the time of the second step under the foot of the Lord. In this very way each lotus taking turn goes on coming turn by turn. Now the lotus coming first under the foot of the Lord is called ‘Atit kamal’ (Past lotus). The lotus remaining under the foot of the Lord, is called ‘Vartman kamal’ (i.e. Present lotus). But the lotus coming under the foot of the Lord by taking turn is called ‘Anagat kamal’ (i.e. future lotus).
Learning the arithmetical method of making ‘Rasmani’ (i.e. savour-jewel) as described above, from his great Guru Jainacharya Pujyapad swami, Nagarjuna made ‘Rasmani’ eight times by giving practical shape to that knowledge. Kumudendu Acharya has described the method of making gold etc. through that very method in this unprecedented treatise of Arithmatic.
This ‘Rasmani’ is made by one single alphabetical learning (Ekaksari Vidya) obtained from the path of faultless doctrine propounded by Lord Adinath in accordance with non-violent method.
By reading alphabetical digit, the path of the principle of destroying the Karma, is obtained which is called “the non-violence is the supreme religion”. And truly speaking the non-violence is precisely the characteristic of the soul. (Ahimsa parmo Dharmah) Which Ayurved learning has been shown from this symptomic religion, that religion has been obtained from shri Vrasabhdeva etc. Lord Jinendra. ।।49।।
When on destruction of entire passion-aversion, the omniscience was manifested, then the Lord stated/pointed out.-
Digamber Muni are conqueror of attachment, hence they have composed their Ayurved texts only from flowers and not by using leaves, bark, root, branches, fruits etc. of trees because great violence of subtle organisms is involved in using them. There is less violence in flowers and it also contains more properties owing to having quintessence of all the five organs (parts) of the tree as described above (leaves, bark etc.). Now further Kumudendu Acharya had selected one named ‘Nagsampige’ i.e. ‘Nagchampa’ (a kind of tree and its fragrant flower- Michelia champaca) out of 18000 kinds of flowers for the accomplishment (Processing) of mercury or savour (supernatural power by magical means). That ‘Rasmani’ made of Champa flowers contains Sagropam multiple times (A transcendental time unit) power of destroying atoms of diseases and at the rate of the same multiple times the beauty gets on increasing. When the beauty, age and power etc. are increased then the enjoyment and abstract meditation is also equally increased. ।।50।।
There is one convention in the world that people pluck and take flower for the purpose of worshipping, decoration etc. and they all go in vain. Here Acharya permits plucking of flowers only for making ‘Siddha ras’ (accomplished savour containing supernatural power by magical means) from those flowers. The flower which is offered on the feet of the Lord Jinendra it means that it is offered only for making “Siddha ras”, it does not go in vain. In ancient times the idol of Lord Jinendra was made from ‘Siddharasmani’. From which flower the ‘Rasmani’ was made plucking that very flower used to be offered on the feet of the Lord. Anointing those idol and merely sprinkling applying that flow (sacred fragrant water pertaining to anointment of a Jain idol) on the forehead, leprosy etc. diseases used to destroy immediately. This method was related with scientific accomplishment. Now-a-days the fragrant sacred water of Lord’s anointment contains no such gory, in sum, the method of making Jina idol from Rasmani is now no longer exists. But we should not disbelieve ‘Gandyodaka’ (sacred anointment water of the Lord Jinendra) of today because if it is left in such a way then the religion will be destroyed and also that ‘Rasamani’ will not be available. But now-a-days that flower is still available and is also offered on the feet of the Lord and it still contains the power of making ‘Rasmani’ but because of our unawareness of the method of making ‘Rasmani’ now-a-days we do not get its fruit. If we could know the method of making ‘Rasmani’ from this great treatise ‘Bhoovalaya’ then we could obtain ‘Rasmani’. It is only ‘Bhoovalaya’ treatise which could be of help in this regard. ।।51।।
We can attain right faith by counting lotus under the feet of the Lord according to the method described above and we will also get those 1008 symptoms/characteristics found in the body of Lord Jinendra. ।।52।।
It is multiplication fraction for counting the lotuses (Gunakarbhang) under the feet of Lord Arihanta. The digit which comes by power (Ghat) of the resultant figure is called ‘Bhaganga’ (coefficient fraction). This very is the method of ‘Dwadasanga’ (twelve parts of scriptural knowledge). This method is in the form of ab-aeterno fractional which exists by tradition of spiritual teachers. ।।53-54-55।।
The method of solving fraction is very easily available even after it being endowed with all miracles. It is in the form of fraction coming from tradition of spiritual teachers.
It is a part of scriptural knowledge came from the body organs of the Lord, the supreme soul, who has destroyed all the eighteen faults.
These are feasible twelve parts of scriptural knowledge which are like the petals of lotus flower in the form of the religion of compassion or this is in the form of right faith-knowledge-conduct and are internal flowers of the soul.
This internal soul becomes supreme soul by friction of these flowers.
The mercury being touched with the fragrance of lotuses of lotus feet of the Lord, becomes helpful in the retention of fire and in crossing over water by transforming in the form of alchemy (Rasayan).
It has come from the tradition of ‘Sengana’ spiritual teachers. All Vrashabhsen etc. Gandhara Parmesthi belonged to this ‘Sengana’. Dharsen Acharya, Veersen, Jinasen Acharyas also belonged to this very tradition and the author of this Bhoovalaya treatise, Kumudendu Acharya also belonged to this ‘Sen sangha’ and the followers of well-known Jain Rigveda pertaining to beginningless time born in Jain kshatriya lineage Jain Brahamins and Chakravarti emperors were also disciples of the Acharyas belonging to this very ‘Sengana’. All kings ruled religiously placing the order of these Acharyas above all regarding that very authentic and applied the dust of their feet on their heads. ।।56-63।।
And there is concatenated part of verse of this auspicious scriptural knowledge as established by Tirthankaras. It is in the form of Dwadasanga. ।।64।।
Because written in the Chakra, this verse/poetry of auspicious scriptural knowledge is like that religion- wheel which remains at the top of religion- flag. As many as flowers have been carved in that wheel (chakra), so many alphabets have been used in the composition of this ‘Bhoovalaya’. How many alphabets are there, now it will be described ahead.
At the time of establishing in the petal of the self-mind there will be 51, zero and one fourth of one lakh i.e. twenty five thousands thus totaling 51025000 thousands alphabets. ।।65।।
Adding 5000 more in those great digits then the digit will become 51030000. If these digits are added together by the nine digit (Navmank) method it would become 9. As many as lotuses turned around in lifting and keeping one foot of the Lord and fragrant air comes out from those so many lotuses, there is description of formless substances of just so many atoms in this ‘Bhoovalaya’. Suppose one ‘Kannhri Sangatya’ metre contains 108 non-compound consonant alphabets and if above said digit is divided by 108 then they become equal to 725000 Kannhri couplets. There is not any verse in the world composed in so many couplets. The Mahabharat has been regarded as the greatest scripture which contains 1,25000 couplets. They are written in Sanskrit, whereas one Kanhri couplet consists of 100 alphabets, hence 1,25000 couplets of the Mahabharat shall be regarded equal to 75000 Kanhri couplets, with this regard Bhoovalaya is six times larger than the Mahabharat poetry, but should be regarded even more than six times.
The digits of this ‘Bhoovalaya’ are 51030000. In case they are to be transformed into ‘Chakra’ (wheel) then they would have to be divided by 729 then 70096 ‘Chakras’ are formed. But if we wish to make ‘Chakras’ by our own effort then we can precisely make only 16000 ‘Chakras’. We do not have enough knowledge of making remaining 54096 ‘Chakras’. But if effort is made for taking out those 16000 ‘Chakras’ then in taking out them which many crores of digits are required they all are conceived only in one alphabet ‘OM’ (ऊँ). In this way it will take 170 years to do this. The treatise which describes all substances having form and formless in only one language, is this Bhoovalaya treatise. Its other name is also ‘Shri Paddhati Bhoovalaya’. ।।66।।
1.Shri Siddha 2. Shri Arihanta 3. Acharya 4. Upaddhayaya 5. All ascetics 6. True religion 7. Scripture 8. Temple, the instrument for creation of scripture and 9. Jina idol, thus the entire composed Bhoovalaya is conceived in the digit nine which is an all including digit. ।।67।।
By multiplying this digit full of religion of compassion, by gem’s-trio (Ratantraya) becomes 9×3=27. ।।68।।
Multiplying this 27×3=81. ।।69।।
Similarly, even on recurrence of 64 alphabets again and again belonging to Bhoovalaya should be understood precisely the inclusion of non-repeated alphabets. ।।104।।
There is no reason to doubt that the 49th chapter of the first part- ‘Auspicious spiritual scripture’ of (Mangal Prabrata) Bhoovalaya contains 2073600- (Twenty lakhs seventy three thousands six hundred digits). All those digits make 1270 ‘Chakras’. It should be taken not by counting Bhoovalaya in the form of alphabets but precisely by counting Chakrank i.e. digits of the ‘Chakra’. By taking so the digit 9 comes again and again even then Kumudendu Acharya has described it precisely as non-repeated digit. If it is looked at thinking well then the glory of the doctrine of manifold predications (Anekant) becomes crystal clear. By this method also 64 alphabets come again and again. Out of these digits this is first fraction (Bhang). ।।105।।
According to this sequence 2, 3 and 4 are fractions. ।।106।।
Similarly 5, 6, 7, 8 are fractions. ।।107।।
Similarly 9, 10, 11 are fractions. ।।108।।
Similarly 12, 13 are also fractions. ।।109।।
According to this sequence 14, 15 are fractions. ।।110।।
By this very method 16, 17 are fractions. ।।111।।
Uniting two nines together becomes eighteen fractions. ।।112।।
Similarly 19, 20 are fractions. ।।113।।
Ahead of it 1, 2, 3 i.e. 21, 22, 23 are fractions. ।।114।।
According to this sequence 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 i.e. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 are fractions. ।।115।।
By this very sequence 9 i.e. 29 & 30 are fractions. ।।116।।
Similarly according to this very sequence of 31-32 should go upto 39. ।।117।।
By this very sequence should go from 50 to 59. ।।118।।
After it the 60th fraction comes. ।।119।।
Afterwards 1-2-3-4 i.e. 61-62-63-64 in this way, the fraction comes. Adding those altogether, the fraction 64 comes. These very 64 fractions are entire Bhoovalaya. ।।120।। ।।121।। ।।122।।
If digits and alphabets are made/arranged in the sequence of those 64 fractions according to due (regular) and reverse order then comes the ‘Sthanank’92.
64 alphabets multiplied by one comes 64. This 64 is called non-united fraction or one united fraction. Because which alphabet we pronounce out of 64 alphabets of scriptural knowledge then that remains precisely in its natural form, hence it is called non-united fraction (Asamyogi Bhanga). That is as follows:-
अxअ=अ or 1×1=1
Now as many as alphabets of ‘Jinwani’ are there in the speech of ‘Dwadasang’ (12 parts of scriptural knowledge) happen to come in the Bhoovalaya doctrine and as many as couplets of them are there and as many as alphabets are there in one couplet etc. their sequential numbers will be given ahead here and there everywhere in proper place.
Now that multiplication is shown here which is done at the time of calculating non-united fraction i.e. dual united fraction of 64 alphabets = 64×63=4032.
As many as languages are there in the world belonging to the period which has elapsed from ab-aeterno and the period to come from today till infinite time and as many as doctrines are based on them, their all dual-united alphabets are conceived in this dual-united fraction. The purport is this that whatever word containing alphabets, any learned or Muni pronounces considering it entirely new all that comes under the purview of this dual-united fraction. Now if the fraction of three alphabets is to be calculated then multiply the dual-united fraction by 62, for calculating quadruplet united-fraction then multiply the trio-united fraction by 61. Also further in this way if we go on multiplying 64 times in this very sequential order upto sixty fourth united fraction then this number comes-
6851894338037744861685403024098719963354737-87342644037873530229626159402844160000000000000000 which if divided by 9 the remainder will be zero. This very is the meaning came out from 123 couplets. ।।123।।
Now here question arises that how such huge number manifested in this small treatise Bhoovalaya containing thousand, ten thousands pages ?
Answer- The writing style of this Bhoovalaya treatise is precisely such. Here one couplet consists of four foots (line of verse) Acharya shri precisely counted only its last foot (line) again and again. ।।124।।
Here finishes the first chapter of this auspicious scripture. It contains total 6561 digits alphabets. The same number of digits-alphabets also comes if 9 is multiplied three times by 9. This chapter contains 9 Chakras and each Chakra contains 729 digits-alphabets. The 125th couplet/hymn of ‘Kanarhi’ (Kannada language) finishes here.
Now if we go on reading the first alphabet of these Kanarhi (Kannada) couplets from top to bottom according to the method of Chinese language then emerges the ‘Bhagvadgeeta’ of Prakrit language. The original text of ‘Kanarhi’ couplets has already appeared in the first four pages. Now we write its meaning. Who have conquered the knowledge obscuring etc. all the eight Karmas and who after having completed all the works of the world have become emancipated from the world and who remain seeing all the subjects pertaining to all the three times (present, past & future) and of all the three universes, such salvated souls (Siddha Bhagwan) may bestow accomplishment on us.
Now we write the meaning of Sanskrit couplet emerged in the middle of Kanahari couplets from top to bottom.
That is to say ‘O’ (ओ) is one alphabet dot(.) is a digit. If we join them together, then it becomes ‘OM’ (ऊँ). For making ‘OM’ the three alphabets viz. अ (A) उ (U) & म् (M) are not needed because one independent alphabet O (ओ) is there in Kanhri language. The number of those alphabets has been shown 24 in Bhoovalaya.
Yogis (ascetics), joining alphabet O (ओ) with dot (.) thereby making ‘OM’ (ऊँ) meditate daily because if digit is joined/united with the alphabet then wonderful power is produced and from that power Yogis attain both riches. worldly and of the world hereafter.
